Camarillo 16, Rio Mesa 7--Fahali Campbell rushed for 251 yards in 31 carries and Lee Ciuffitelli kicked three field goals to lead the Scorpions (1-1) at Rio Mesa. Campbell scored on a 39-yard run on the fourth play of the second half to put Camarillo ahead, 13-7. Teammate Darren Hatch gained 50 yards in nine carries.

Camarillo forced a punt after three plays in each of Rio Mesa’s first four possessions, but Rio Mesa running back Junior Liufau romped 80 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter to give the Spartans (0-2) a 7-6 halftime lead.
