The board members with their minority (tail wags the dog) mentality is only fooling itself when it thinks all it takes to lead LAUSD is a good day-to-day administrator. They still do not get the message that Zacarias is the only way to lead LAUSD out of financial and academic decay. It’s the ‘90s. The entire landscape and demographics have changed. The rhythm is decidedly Latino and the majority of the school board is still stuck in ‘70s thinking.
