FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Boccato Has a Perfect Night in Loyola’s 34-6 Win
Displaying an offense that was nearly perfect, Loyola rolled to a 34-6 victory over Crespi in a Del Rey League game at Pierce College.
Loyola senior quarterback Clelio Boccato completed all 10 of his passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. While Boccato did his damage through the air, senior running back Eric Rogers did his on the ground, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns in 12 carries.
Loyola opened the game by driving 76 yards to the Crespi one-yard line, but came away with nothing after a missed field goal attempt. But the Cubs came back to score touchdowns on their next five possessions.
