PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Anderson’s Injury Isn’t So Serious

Share

Though the Rams tried out two veteran wide receivers to hedge their bets, it appears Flipper Anderson’s right ankle injury isn’t serious and he won’t need to be placed on the injured-reserve list, Coach Chuck Knox said.

Anderson is still listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at Atlanta. But tests showed that the injury is a bone bruise and shouldn’t keep him out for a long period, Knox said.

Aaron Cox should replace Anderson in the starting lineup Sunday if Anderson isn’t ready.

Emile Harry, formerly with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Perry Kemp, last a Green Bay Packer, worked out Thursday.

Cornerback Todd Lyght, activated off of injured reserve last week after missing four weeks with a dislocated right shoulder, should be able to start Sunday at left corner against the Falcons.
