Delmatoff Throws 4 Scoring Passes as Hart Dominates Burbank, 44-14

Senior quarterback Davis Delmatoff passed for 271 yards and four touchdowns as Hart High rolled to an easy 44-14 victory over Burbank in a Foothill League game Friday night at Burroughs High.

The game marked the seventh time in nine games this year that Delmatoff has thrown for four or more touchdowns. He has 33 this season.

Delmatoff, who completed 18 of 33 passes with two interceptions, steered Hart to a 24-0 halftime lead and a 44-0 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. He threw two scoring passes to wide receiver Jared Halverson and one each to running back Deriek Charles and wide receiver Soren Halladay.

Charles gained 177 yards in 10 carries and rushed one yard for a touchdown. Hart (9-0, 3-0 in league play) attempted three two-point conversions, making one, including a two-point try with a 30-0 lead in the third period.

Burbank quarterback Brian Casey completed eight of 17 for 120 yards and two touchdowns, both in the fourth quarter, even though he played in only the second half. Starter Kendricks Lewis completed two of five for 20 yards in the first half.

Hart gained 479 yards in total offense and limited Burbank (3-6, 0-3) to 257 yards.
