ENCINITAS : Blaze Destroys Two-Story Building

Fire destroyed a two-story building early Saturday in Encinitas that contained two businesses and a private apartment.
The fire started shortly after midnight in the 600 block of 2nd Street and destroyed the Second Street Hair Design and Massage Parlor, as well as a photo shop and apartment.
The two people who lived in the apartment were not injured. Arson investigators were at the scene and estimated the damage at between $500,000 and $700,000.
