Shelton Propels Cypress Past Imperial Valley

RIVERSIDE — Robbie Shelton scored 27 points to help Cypress to an 89-78 victory over Imperial Valley in one semifinal of the Riverside Holiday Tournament Friday.
Cypress (10-2) meets Riverside (9-3) in the title game at 7 tonight. Riverside advanced by beating Irvine Valley, 81-80, in the other semifinal game.
Anthony Livingston added 21 points for Cypress, which led at the half, 44-25. Gary Gibbs scored 13 for Cypress.
