McLinn Leads CS Northridge Past Stetson

Nobody has to explain the highs and lows of perimeter shooting to Cal State Northridge guard Brooklyn McLinn.

Saturday night, McLinn made all five of this three-point attempts and six of seven shots overall as Northridge defeated Stetson, 65-61, in the consolation final of the L.A. Classic at Loyola Marymount’s Gersten Pavilion.

The night before, McLinn missed all nine of his shots from the floor and failed to score as the Matadors lost to Loyola.

With 1:22 to play against Stetson (0-5), McLinn made a three-pointer to give Northridge a 63-61 lead, and the Matadors (2-4) never trailed thereafter. McLinn finished with a team-high 18 points.
