LANCASTER : Freeway Crash Kills Palmdale Resident
A 23-year-old Palmdale man died over the weekend after his car veered off the Antelope Valley Freeway in Lancaster and flipped over, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
Arturo Morales, 23, was driving north on the freeway near 20th Street West about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when his car veered to the right and tumbled down the embankment, Officer Miguel Siordia said.
Morales, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out. He died about two hours later at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center. No one else was injured.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
