Dominguez Hills Beats CS San Bernardino

The Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s basketball team came up with another record-breaking defensive game Thursday night, holding Cal State San Bernardino to 27.6% shooting from the field in a 64-53 California Collegiate Athletic Assn. victory at Carson.

Senior swingman Vincent Washington scored a game-high 21 points, had nine rebounds and four assists for the Toros (11-4, 3-2 in the CCAA).

San Bernardino guard Develle Walker, the league’s leading scorer, finished with 17 points, but was only seven of 22 from the field.

Junior forward Joe Bertrand had a career-high 13 rebounds for Dominguez Hills, which outrebounded San Bernardino, 48-32.

The Toros will play host to UC Riverside (13-4, 4-1) Saturday night at 7:30.
