Coach: Josh Davis (fourth year).

1992: 22-2, 9-1 in Sea View League; won league championship, lost to Peninsula in Division 1-A semifinals, league record is 19-1 over last two seasons.

Key returners: Barry Martin, Sr., will play singles and doubles; Jason Meyers, Jr., will play No. 1 singles after playing No. 2 singles; Eric Peterson, Sr., will play singles and doubles; Robbie Wilkins, Jr., will play singles and doubles.

Key newcomers: Min Lee, So.; Felix Ling, Fr.; Kai Miller, Fr.; Chris Seid, Fr.

Outlook: With five players returning and undefeated junior varsity and freshman teams last year, University should have one of the county’s best teams yet again. Meyers should make a run for the Sea View singles title. If University falters, any one of four teams could win the league championship. Davis calls the Sea View the best in the country. Nonleague matches at Peninsula and La Jolla should give Davis an indication of how good his freshmen and sophomores are going to be.
