The Dodgers’ 6-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants Sunday was their third comeback victory in their last four games. Dodger Manager Tom Lasorda said the team’s 5-2 victory in 12 innings Saturday might have turned the tide. “After (that) game I thought, ‘This is just the thing we need to propel us forward,’ ” Lasorda said. “When I saw Tom Candiotti get out of that first inning with the bases loaded and then young Pedro Martinez come in and strike out Matt Williams and Jim Gott close it out, I said that if ever a game would make a difference, this would be it.”

After making an error that led to a run during the fourth inning Sunday, Mitch Webster made a great catch of Willie McGee’s line drive in the seventh to keep the Giants from coming back. . . . On the last four Mother’s Days, Tim Wallach is nine for 19 with three home runs and 12 runs batted in.
