OCC, the designated visitor in the first game, trailed going into the ninth, 6-4. But with the bases loaded and no one out, Greg Folsom sliced a fly ball to left field that went off the glove of Miguel McQueen for a three-base error. Folsom later scored on a sacrifice fly by Rich Ernst.

The Pirates scored five runs in the first and third innings to take a 10-3 lead in the second game. Folsom had three hits and four runs batted in and Parsons and Paul McDaniels had three RBIs each in the second game.

Carlos Cevallos pitched the final four innings of the first game for the victory.
