Course Explores Air Quality
“Building Air Quality,” a course designed to help prevent and correct indoor air quality problems in all types of buildings, will be given June 23 at the Burbank Airport Hilton hotel from 1-5 p.m.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institute of Occupation Safety and Health (NIOSH) worked jointly to produce the course for building owners, facility managers and risk assessors, the people in the best position to prevent and resolve indoor air problems.
Presented by the Western Regional Radon Training Center in cooperation with the EPA’s Region IX, the course will be taught by Francis J. (Bud) Offermann III, president of Indoor Environmental Engineering and a leader in the indoor air field.
Registration, which is limited, will be noon to 1 p.m. June 23 at the hotel, 2500 Hollywood Way, and by mail to the WRRTC-IAQ Training Project, Industrial Sciences, Room 200-B, Colorado State University, Colo. 80523, or fax, (303) 491-7801. The $15 fee includes refreshments and a copy of the EPA/NIOSH guidebook “Building Air Quality.”
