Dominguez Hires Athletics Director

Kay Don, an associate director of athletics at Cal State Long Beach since 1984, has been hired as athletics director at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

She replaces Dan Guerrero, who resigned in December to become athletics director at UC Irvine.

Don, who was in charge of women’s sports at Long Beach, was chosen from more than 125 applicants. She was an assistant athletics director at Texas A & M for 12 years before moving to Long Beach.

She becomes the third woman athletics director in the seven-school California Collegiate Athletic Assn.
