OUTLOOK With only three starters returning from last year’s team, Kunau harbors no illusions about the Lancers’ prospects. “On paper we’ve got a really tough road ahead of us,” he said. But Kunau, who was a Lancer assistant last year, believes the young team will improve as the season progresses. Quarterback Juliano will benefit from the experience of the first few games when the offensive game plan will be conservative and depend on the running of Hwang. The linebacking corps--Vieselmeyer, Whitney and Hwang--is the strength of the defense.
