Birmingham 28, Lincoln 6--Junior running back Courtney Blunt rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns in 21 carries to fuel the host Braves. Blunt’s touchdowns came on runs of two and 84 yards.
Quarterback Marvin Powell connected with Paul Prince on a 33-yard touchdown to put Birmingham up, 28-0, in the first half. He threw only one other pass, but ran 32 yards for a touchdown.
