In other South Coast tournament games:
Foothill 10, Riverside Poly 6--Foothill, which lost to El Toro, 9-5, in the semifinals, improved to 5-2 with the victory over Riverside Poly (7-2) in the third-place game.
Los Alamitos 10-7, Granite Hills 6 and Mission Viejo 6--Tim Sylvester had eight goals in two games, and Mike Aaronson made 19 saves for Los Alamitos (7-4).
Costa Mesa 14, Tustin 8--Sam Grayel scored six goals for Costa Mesa and Marshall Bauerfiend had three for Tustin.
Chris Avitia of Costa Mesa (7-3) and Tyler Sundberg of Tustin (7-6) each made eight saves.
Irvine 8, Tustin 5--Jason Lezak had four goals and Scott Gibson had two for Irvine (7-4).
Villa Park 11, Marina 3--Matt Cornue scored five goals for Villa Park.
In the Orange High girls’ volleyball tournament:
Laguna Hills wins--Laguna Hills took the tournament title with a 15-12, 15-8 victory over Orange in the final.
Laguna Hills defeated Cerritos, 15-10, and Orange routed Redlands, 15-4, in the semifinals.
In nonleague girls’ tennis:
El Dorado 11, Valencia 7--In No. 1 singles, Linda Surapruick swept her sets for El Dorado, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. Valencia’s Jenny Gonzalez, who won her sets, 6-1, 6-2, 6-1, remained undefeated. El Dorado is 5-3, Valencia 5-2.
