On Mark Aguirre’s first day with the team, Danny Manning scored 13 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and blocked two shots in the final minute to lead the Clippers to a 102-100 exhibition victory over the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night.

Mark Jackson had 18 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Clippers and had an opportunity to add two more free throws with 14.2 seconds left. But he missed the two that would have given the Clippers a four-point lead.

Ron Harper added 17 points for the Clippers and Aguirre had 10.

The Pacers had two chances to tie or take the lead, but couldn’t get off a shot before Jackson fouled Pooh Richardson with 2.2 seconds left in a non-shooting situation.

Malik Sealy tried a three-pointer at the buzzer, but Manning blocked it.

Manning had tipped Sealy’s layup away with the Clippers leading 102-100 with 30 seconds remaining.

The Clippers are 4-1 in exhibition play, including two victories over the Pacers and their coach of last year, Larry Brown.

The Pacers (3-3) were led by Sealy with 24 points.
