Nance to Have Arthroscopic Surgery
Cleveland Cavalier forward Larry Nance will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday and will be sidelined indefinitely.
Nance, 34, was bothered by roughness on the underside of the kneecap throughout the exhibition season. He played 20 minutes in the Cavaliers’ season-opening loss to Milwaukee on Friday night, scoring four points, grabbing six rebounds and blocking three shots.
The knee continued to bother him, however, so surgery was prescribed. A timetable for his return will be determined after the surgery.
“It felt pretty good after the game, but the next day at practice and after practice, it didn’t feel so good,” Nance said. “I decided I can’t really play at what I would say is 60%, so we’ll have it done.”
