PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Everett Says He Has New Attitude
Quarterback Jim Everett said Monday that he is going to take a new approach to the second half of the season when he returns to the starting lineup Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
“These couple of weeks I think I’ve learned a lot,” Everett said. “This is still a game, and I’m going to play it like that. I’m going to be enthusiastic, have fun and be relaxed. I mean, what more can really happen, unless it’s a situation that I get cut or something like that. I want to play the best I can. If not, I’m staying on the bench. It’s as simple as that.”

Tackle Jackie Slater will sit out Sunday’s game because of a torn pectoral muscle and his backup, Robert Jenkins, is not expected to be available because of a dislocated toe. Darryl Ashmore will start at right tackle and be backed up by Jeff Pahukoa.
Running back David Lang, who worked hard on Friday in his attempt to return from a knee injury, was rested Monday. “I think he’ll be ready for the game,” Coach Chuck Knox said.
