Handicapping the Top 10
Last season, Central City teams dominated both divisions of the City Section playoffs, with Crenshaw winning the 4-A championship and Jefferson the 3-A title. Since the City went to a two-divisional format in 1983, Central City teams have won eight of the last 11 4-A division titles, with Washington winning four consecutive championships from 1989 to 1992.
