OUTLOOK
Bradarich will be the third coach in three years for Pacifica. Although this team has talent, the program has been floating. Bradarich hopes to give the Mariners much needed stability and direction. Pacifica will be led by guard Surch, a first-team all-league selection, 6-foot-3 Stark at center and junior forward Rummel. Bradarich believes these three will make the team strong inside. Surch is also a strong outside shooter and has been getting attention from colleges. In addition, the Mariners have three other players who are over 6 feet tall. Green, a freshman who Bradarich calls the “heir apparent” to Surch, is not intimidated and is a good athlete. Green will most likely play a fair amount on varsity this year. Also showing some promise is sophomore Kiyomura, a part-time varsity player last season who is a smart player who can shoot outside. She’ll be starting at second guard. But all things aside, this year Bradarich’s primary goal will be to build a stable and winning program. “We are trying to turn around this program at Pacifica,” he said. “This year’s team has a good blend of experienced players and a great nucleus of new young players. We could be a spoiler this year.”
