Fullerton, Jr.
Soccer / Forward
Hargrave was a first-team All-Freeway League selection as a freshman and a sophomore, but had little else to show for her efforts because the Indians missed the playoffs each season. That could change this year, judging from her team’s early success. Last week, Hargrave, who also is a starter on Fullerton’s volleyball and softball teams, had five goals and an assist, helping the Indians (7-5-1) to the title game of the Hacienda Heights Wilson tournament. She has 14 goals and six assists in 13 games this season.
Other Notables:
* Cassie Campbell, Marina, scored two goals in a 4-1 victory over El Dorado in the title game of the Cerritos soccer tournament. She was named MVP.
* Karun Grossman, Dana Hills, scored 38 points, including six three-pointers, both school records in a 68-11 victory over Las Vegas Durango.
* Jenni Hodges, Orange, had five goals and three assists in four games of the Los Alamitos tournament, helping the Panthers reach the title game.
* Jennifer Stanley, University, averaged 17 points in four games, helping the Trojans to the title of the Villa Park tournament.
