Ocean View Shoots 71% From Field in Victory

Ocean View had its best shooting night of the season, making 71% of its shots from the field, and beat Red Bluff Union, 68-53, in a consolation-round game in the Above the Rim tournament Friday at Del Mar Torrey Pines High School.

Kevin Johnson connected on eight of 12 shots and Dan McDonald was seven of 12 as Ocean View made 29 of 41 shots. McDonald finished with 17 points and Johnson 16.

Nate Morton (13 points) made all six shots he took for Ocean View (5-7), which led, 23-11, at the end of the first quarter.
