CITY HALL NEWS : Residents to Be Named to Advisory Boards
The City Council will vote on public nominations for committee positions at a meeting Tuesday.
Appointees will serve on volunteer advisory boards on traffic, parks and recreation, view restoration, finance and other committees.
“We’re very pleased with the number of qualified applicants who have been nominated,” said Mayor Pro Tem Lee Byrd. “I think it’s excellent that we have that many people in Rancho Palos Verdes who want to stand up and do something for the city.”
The meeting at Hess Park will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Council members also will discuss the cost of an environmental report on the peninsula’s landslide area where construction is banned.
