2 Die in Plane Crash Near Palm Springs
A small plane crashed into a mountainside near the Soboba Indian Reservation in Riverside County, killing two men, authorities said Friday.
The single-engine Cessna 150 went down Thursday at the 2,500-foot level of North Mountain, two miles north of the reservation, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Fred O’Donnell said.
The area is about 15 miles west of Palm Springs.
Two men in their 30s were found dead at the scene. Authorities did not release their identities.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
