HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS

Pacific Hills 69, Arroyo Grande Coastal Christian 59--Pacific Hills (21-9) received balanced scoring, with four players in double figures, to win its second-consecutive Southern Section Division V-A championship at Murphy High.

Pacific Hills was paced by senior forwards Danny Brummel, who scored 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had one blocked shot, and Westley Allen, who scored 15 points and had five rebounds. Pacific Hills guards Bryan Sterling and Ivan Barahona scored 14 points each.

The Bruins never trailed and led by as much 20 points with 2:59 remaining, 66-46.

Jeff Caston, a senior guard, led all scorers with 20 points for Coastal Christian (21-9).
