OUTLOOK

Pacific Shores finished fourth in the Metro League last season. The Seahawks could contend for one of the top spots in the league this season. “I think we’re going to have a very good team if all the people who said they were going to play stay with the program,” Zanelli said. “We could have a lineup with a lot of pop.” Chadwick is solid whether pitching or playing first base. He might start at first and also earn a place in the starting rotation. Lambrose pitched well at times last season. He also might earn a spot in the rotation, or close games. Bertram showed promise as a sophomore. He has good range and a strong enough arm to make difficult plays look easy. Kalb’s presence provides Zanelli with several options. Kalb plays good defense at several positions in the infield. Stothers and Werner might be the best of the newcomers. They might combine to give Pacific Shores a standout double-play combination for several seasons to come.
