PREP GOLF ROUNDUP : Searle Shoots One-Under 34 to Lead Edison Past Marina

David Searle shot one-under-par 34 at Meadowlark Golf Course to lead Edison to a 193-200 victory over Marina in a Sunset League match Thursday.

Mike Walker and Kevin Achman each shot 39 for the Chargers. Jon Pan and Shaun Abbott shot 39 for Marina (2-2, 1-1), the defending league champion.

Servite 194, Ocean View 203--Wally Luciano shot two-under 34 at Mile Square for Servite (2-0 in league). Billy Benson shot 38 for Ocean View (7-2, 0-1).

In Sea View League golf:

Corona del Mar 195, Tustin 217--Craig Welker and Scott Bemis each shot three-over 38 to lead Corona del Mar (4-2, 2-1) at Newport Beach Country Club. Jim Lee shot 37 for Tustin.

In nonleague golf:

Brea-Olinda 413, El Dorado 418--Mike Peterson shot seven-over 78 at Western Hills and Imperial golf courses for Brea-Olinda (3-1). Medalist Ryan Chavez shot four-over 75 for El Dorado (4-2).

Cypress 220, Pacifica 259--Eric Wang shot one-over 35 to lead Cypress (2-8) at Cypress Golf Club.

Los Amigos 201, Westminster 204--Jon Levenshus shot par 35 at Meadowlark for Los Amigos (7-0). Matt Stafford shot 35 for Westminster (4-5).

Dana Hills 407, Trabuco Hills 421--Aaron Smith and Nick Clemente each shot three-over 39 to lead Dana Hills (1-1). Trabuco Hills fell to 1-1.

Esperanza 414, Villa Park 437--Senior Chris Berry shot one-over 35 to lead Esperanza (5-0). Sophomore Ryan Donovan shot 37 for the Aztecs.

Fountain Valley JV 194, Orange Lutheran 207--Rene Mendez shot one-over 32 for Orange Lutheran (1-4) at David Baker golf course. John Bendall shot 34 for Fountain Valley JV.
