Damage From Fire Put at $150,000
A fire that may have started in an upstairs bedroom Tuesday destroyed three rooms in a three-story home and caused at least $150,000 damage to the structure and its contents, authorities said.
About 15 firefighters fought the blaze in the 39900 block of Golfers Drive for about 20 minutes before bringing it under control, said Inspector Robert Brandelli of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The blaze, which began about 11:20 a.m., destroyed two upstairs bedrooms and the attic above them, he said. The cause was under investigation, Brandelli added.
