In the Freeway League:

Buena Park 1, Troy 0 (11)--John Cabral scored the winning run for Buena Park (6-5, 2-1) on a wild pitch in the top of the 11th in the victory over third-ranked Troy (11-3, 2-1). Mike Davis (1-0) pitched 10 innings for the victory. He also had had three hits. Francisco Espinoza retired three batters in the 11th for the save.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Century 3, Estancia 2--Jose Romero doubled down the left-field line to score pinch-runner Danny Torres with none out in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie for host Century (9-3, 2-1). Torres was running for Greg Madrid, who walked to start the inning.

Christian Duran (4-1) pitched a four-hitter for the victory. Jairo Arceyut pitched a two-hitter but took the loss for Estancia. Century used three walks and a fielder’s choice to score twice in the sixth.

Laguna Beach 6, Costa Mesa 3--Ian McDonald had three hits and scored two runs and Brian Berberian drove in three runs for host Laguna Beach (5-6, 1-2). Ryan Sauers (3-1) pitched a five-hitter, striking out six.

In the Garden Grove League:

Bolsa Grande 3, Rancho Alamitos 0--Anthony Gomez pitched a four-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts and Alex Francisco had two runs scored and six stolen bases for visiting Bolsa Grande (7-6, 3-1). Jose Castro gave up four hits and struck out seven for Rancho Alamitos (4-7, 0-3).

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 7, Anaheim 5--Mike Brambilla had two hits and two runs batted in, including a home run in the third, his sixth this season, for Brea-Olinda (11-2, 1-2). Trevor Lords was three for three with one RBI for the Wildcats. Anaheim is 6-8, 1-2.

In the Carlsbad Invitational:

San Clemente 13, Lompoc 1--Robert Frith hit his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the third, for San Clemente (10-4). Frith finished with five RBIs. Chad Wanders pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and striking out six in improving to 6-0. Paul Anderson hit a bases-loaded double in the fourth, scoring three runs. San Clemente will play Carlsbad at 1 p.m. today in the championship game.
