Danielle Suppa was named Tuesday to replace Sylmar High girls’ basketball Coach Chuck Miller, who resigned at the end of the season.

Suppa, 22, Miller’s assistant last season, will take over a team that finished 21-3 and advanced to the second round of the City Section playoffs.

After only one season--the most successful in school history--Miller kept his promise to himself and resigned. He will remain with the softball team, which he has coached for seven seasons.
