COSTA MESA NEWPORT BEACH : Estancia Principal Takes Yermo Job

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District announced last week that Estancia High School Principal Frank Infusino has accepted an assistant superintendent job in Yermo.

Infusino will leave the district at the end of the school year for the 2,800-student Silver Valley Unified School District, said Newport-Mesa Supt. Mac Bernd.

"He is really good," Bernd said. "I hate to lose him."

That means three of the four Newport-Mesa high schools will be looking for new principals before school starts next fall. The positions at Newport Harbor and Corona del Mar high schools are open as a result of a series of personnel changes announced recently.
