In Century League boys’ volleyball:

Canyon 3, Villa Park 0--Troy Langley had 15 kills for ninth-ranked Canyon (13-1, 7-1), which defeated Villa Park, 15-7, 15-10, 15-10 to earn a share of the league championship with Foothill.

Foothill 3, El Modena 1--Matt Nichols had 19 kills for Foothill (9-3, 7-1), which won, 11-15, 15-12, 15-6, 15-7.

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 3, Bolsa Grande 0--Ricky Brannon had 10 kills for Garden Grove (9-6, 9-3), which clinched second place with a 15-4, 15-3, 15-5 victory.

In the Empire League:

Esperanza 3, Western 0--Mike Allison had 27 kills for the fifth-ranked Aztecs (14-2, 10-0), who won their fourth consecutive league title with a 15-3, 18-16, 15-10 victory.

In the Sunset League:

Edison 3, Fountain Valley 0--Edison (11-5, 11-3) clinched second place with a 15-10, 13-15, 15-7, 12-15, 17-15 victory. Ben Beard and Pat McDonald had 22 kills each.

In the Orange League golf finals:

Woods wins again--Western’s Tiger Woods won his fourth consecutive league championship with a 10-under-par 204 over three days. He shot his third consecutive 68 Thursday at Alta Vista County Club. The tournament started Tuesday at Dad Miller and continued Wednesday at Los Coyotes.

John Lee of Valencia shot 224 and finished second for the third consecutive year. Mike Peterson (229) of Brea-Olinda and Chris Porter (230) of Valencia placed third and fourth. The four advanced to the Southern Section individual championship May 23 at La Cumbre Country Club in Santa Barbara.

In the South Coast League:

Garner wins again--El Toro’s Ben Garner shot par 72 at Pendleton Marine Memorial Golf Course and finished with a two-day total of 146 to win his third league title in four years.

Garner, who finished second as a sophomore, had a birdie, a bogey and 16 pars. He finished seven strokes ahead of second-place Nick Clemente of Dana Hills.

Matt Johnson (155) and Aaron Smith (157) of Dana Hills and Mike Zapel (159) of San Clemente, finished third, fourth and fifth. The five advanced to the Southern Section individual championship.

In the Garden Grove League:

Stafford wins playoff--Matt Stafford of Los Amigos won the league title over Matt Sisneros of Pacifica with a par on the first playoff hole on the Butterfield course in Chino. Stafford shot 79-79 158. Sisneros was 75-83 158.

In Freeway League boys’ diving finals:

Jenkins wins--Aaron Jenkins of Sonora won the individual title with a score of 470.65. Sonora also took the team title with 49 points with Sunny Hills (20) second and Troy (10) third.

In Freeway League girls’ diving finals:

Shelby wins--Helen Shelby of Sonora won the title with a score of 364.85. Troy won the team title with 32 points and Sunny Hills (25) was second.
