Huntington Beach won its second consecutive Southern Section boys’ volleyball championship Saturday with a 15-13, 11-15, 15-8, 15-9 victory over Laguna Beach in the Division I final at Cerritos College.

The unseeded Oilers (21-2) avenged a nonleague loss to Laguna Beach on May 2. Last season, Huntington Beach defeated Capistrano Valley in five games in the Division I championship match.

Dan Styles had 28 kills for Laguna Beach (19-2), but the Oilers’ defense made the difference. Nick Ziegler had 16 kills, Jeremy Bart 15 and Mike Grave 11 for Huntington Beach.
