Reacting to Statement by President of Event

Share

My years of trying to be a Christian flew out the window after I read the statements attributed to William Burke, president of the L.A. Marathon. How dare he defame the work of ministers and churches by implying that the Korean pastors’ concern for the economic well-being of their churches is somehow sinister. Does Burke know of anything that gets along without money? Our faith teaches that Christians are to worship God publicly and weekly and give their titles weekly. Burke’s efforts to obstruct that by not heeding the concerns of those churches affected by the marathon is serious business.
