Four Local Teams Gain USTA Finals

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Four Orange County teams won section titles at the United States Tennis Assn. championships here Sunday at Los Caballeros Sports Village.
The Los Caballeros Sports Village team won the men’s open division by defeating the West End Club of Tennis, 2-1. Hollywood Returning Retirees of Irvine beat the Bakersfield Country Club, 2-1, for the women’s open title.
The teams advance to the USTA League championships Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 in Las Vegas.
Teams from Los Caballeros won the men’s and women’s 4.0 divisions and advance to the USTA championships Oct. 6-9 in Tucson.
