Bell Gardens 49, Lincoln 0--David York rushed for three touchdown to lead the Lancers to a nonconference rout of the Tigers at Bell Gardens.

York put Bell Gardens ahead 7-0 with a two-yard run to cap a 10-play, 60-yard scoring drive on Bell Gardens’ first possession and start a game-long pattern for the Lancers. York scored on a 24-yard run on the Lancers’ next possession to make it 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Bell Gardens kept the rout going with 21 second-quarter points on runs by Adam Solorzano and York and a 51-yard interception return by Rolando Terrazas.

Bell Gardens kept its starters in through the third quarter, scoring twice more. Quarterback Eddie Negrete completed 11 of 18 passes for 169 yards, including a 28-yard scoring pass to Tadeo Gonzales. David Villegas capped the scoring with a 13-yard run.

Lincoln gained only 82 total yards against Bell Gardens’ well-drilled defense.
