In another cross-country meet:

Foothill League Meet No. 2--The Hart boys’ and girls’ teams remained undefeated in league competition in the meet at Griffith Park.

Brett Strahan won his fourth race of the season--against one loss--with a time of 15:19 in the boys’ race as the Indians (8-0, 8-0) placed seven runners among the top 10 finishers.

Joel Givens (15:50), John Duarte (15:53) and Sandro Soler (16:10) placed second, third and fourth for Hart, which is shooting for its 12th consecutive league title.

The Indians placed five runners among the top 13 finishers in the girls’ race, paced by sophomores Monica Prelle (fourth in 19:20) and Lisa Klinger (fifth in 19:25).

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Newbury Park d. Camarillo, 15-4, 15-5, 15-9--Christine Arguijo had six kills and Julie Wastell added five to lead the Panthers to a Marmonte League victory at Newbury Park (9-1, 7-1). Setter Kari Norberg notched 23 assists.

Thousand Oaks d. Royal, 14-16, 15-13, 6-15, 15-7, 15-8--Kristin Scott had 14 kills and 15 blocks and teammate Christy Stueve added 13 kills and 16 digs as the host Lancers (7-3, 6-2) came from behind in the Marmonte League match. Susan Torst had 18 kills for Royal (6-4, 5-3).

Simi Valley d. Westlake, 15-6, 15-10, 15-11--Kristin Sampson had eight kills and 19 digs to boost the host Pioneers (4-6, 3-5) in a Marmonte League match. Shelley Crandall added 15 assists.

Kennedy d. Taft 15-4, 15-1, 15-10--Tresa Moorman had 11 kills and Kelly Samuel added 10 for host Kennedy in a Northwest Valley Conference match. Stephanie Ong had 30 assists.

Bell-Jeff d. St. Anthony, 15-7, 15-4, 15-9--Letty Cabrera led the host Guards (10-2, 4-0) with 10 kills and 10 digs in a Camino Real League match. Lauren Barrett added seven kills, nine digs and four blocks.

St. Bonaventure d. Oak Park, 15-5, 15-2, 15-5--Kristin Klarc led the host Seraphs (9-1, 3-1) with 10 kills in the Tri-Valley League match.

Chatsworth d. Birmingham, 13-15, 15-8, 15-4, 15-9--Jennifer Joseph had 15 kills and six aces to lead the host Chancellors (6-2, 5-0) in a matchup of teams that were previously unbeaten in the Northwest Valley Conference.

Marciela Valdez had 16 kills and Dinora Marroquin had 28 assists for the Braves (7-2, 4-1).

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Santa Barbara 13, Rio Mesa 5--The Dons’ No. 3 singles player, Pilara Montgomery, swept her matches, including a 6-0 victory against Rio Mesa’s Zuzana Stunova. Stunova beat Montgomery, 6-0, earlier this season.

Stunova won her other two singles matches, but it wasn’t enough against the Channel League’s top team. Santa Barbara is 8-0 in league. Rio Mesa is 7-4, 5-3.

Burbank 15 1/3, Hart 5 2/3--Analisa Swan swept her singles matches to propel the Bulldogs (10-2, 5-0) in a Foothill League match.

Nordhoff 13, Carpinteria 5--Rangers singles players Stacey Roberts, Brianne Chapman and Haley Wilburn swept their three matches in the nonleague meeting at Carpinteria. Nordhoff is 6-3.

La Reina 16, Bishop Diego 2--Cindy Bear, Kristy Bear and Kristin Dickey swept their matches without losing a game. Host La Reina improved to 8-2, 5-0 in the Tri-Valley League.

Chaminade 12, Flintridge Prep 6--Tina Kapadia swept all three of her singles matches to lead the host Eagles (10-2, 9-0) in a Mission League match.
