OUTLOOK

The Lobos reached the playoffs last year and they could be there again if their young inside players improve throughout the season. Los Amigos’ trio of guards, Udell, Vuong and Ratanaphoulee, are as good as anybody’s. Udell (9 points) is the leading returning scorer, but he needs help from the other two guards who both averaged six points last year. But if the guards are forced to do all the shooting, Los Amigos could be in trouble in a league that has some talented post players. The top newcomer could be Stafford, who didn’t play basketball last year. “We’re hoping his shooting touch is as good as his touch around the green,” Grable said of his all-league golfer. “We want to prove ourselves as the best defensive team in the league.” Grable said.
