A Little Bit of History

More than nine years and 97 matches after it began, Pierce College’s winning streak in Metropolitan Conference tennis matches ended in 1985 with a 5-1 loss to Harbor.

The Brahmas won their first Ojai tournament title that year, which was a treat for Coach Paul Xanthos, who played in the tournament as a Los Angeles City College freshman in 1939.
