OUTLOOK
Capistrano Valley Christian moves to the Academy League and Markum has the uncomfortable task of replacing all five starters with a group made up mostly of sophomores. However, the Eagles are coming off a successful summer league which gives him a reason to believe his team may improve on its poor record of last season. The Eagles will have to depend on a much more balanced scoring attack after losing all of their main scoring threats to graduation. Newcomers Ghosheh and C’ de Baca are the big men for Markum and will have to hold their own against taller teams such as St. Margaret’s. Jennings was a big contributor on offense for the Eagles as a freshman. Depth and experience are the team’s most glaring weaknesses. Markum admits he does not know a lot about the Eagles’ new league, but is optimistic about their chances.
