SEASON AT A GLANCE: Celaya started the season on fire and has not cooled. The 5-foot-4 guard is averaging 27 points a game while maintaining a 4.3 grade-point average. An All-City Section and Times All-Valley selection last season, she has been the cornerstone of North Hollywood’s run-and-gun offense. Two weeks ago, she earned all-tournament honors while leading the Huskies to fifth place in the Simi Valley tournament.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Celaya led the Huskies to the Bell-Jeff tournament championship and earned most valuable player honors. In four games, she scored 114 points, including a 35-point outburst against Oak Park and 34 points against Palisades. She was limited to two points in the first half of the championship game against Burroughs, but scored 24 in the second half.
