BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP

Burroughs 67, Canyon 55--Steve Silveira came off the bench to score 29 points for the Indians (5-11, 1-4) in a Foothill League upset. Greg Minor scored 28 points for Canyon (10-7, 3-2).

Ridgecrest Burroughs 64, Quartz Hill 58--Brad Hazard scored 20 points for the Rebels (4-11, 0-3) in a Golden League game. Rodney Brisco had 20 points for Burroughs (10-8, 1-3).

Palmdale 69, Antelope Valley 63--The Falcons (13-5, 4-0) overcame a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter to remain undefeated in Golden League play. Hassan Phillips, who finished with 13 points, made a three-point shot to give Palmdale a 54-53 lead with six minutes to play.

Steve Eernisse led Palmdale with 16 points and Mike Hamelin added 14. Le’Tre Kelly led Antelope Valley (12-4, 2-2) with 21 points.

Highland 81, Littlerock 67--Jamal Dedeaux scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and John Burrell scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds for Highland (12-4, 2-1) in a Golden League game. John George scored 17 points for Littlerock (11-7, 2-2).

Crescenta Valley 60, Hoover 31--Brock Jacobsen scored 16 points for Crescenta Valley (18-1, 3-1) in a Pacific League game at Hoover. Blake Jacobson added 12 points, 16 rebounds and six blocked shots. The Tornadoes (2-15, 0-4) used a slowdown game and did not score in the second quarter.

Glendale 62, Muir 59--James Fuller had 24 points as the Dynamiters (10-8, 1-3) won a Pacific League game at Muir for the first time since 1988.

Moorpark 76, Malibu 70--Mike McKenzie had 42 points and 15 rebounds for the Musketeers (14-5, 2-1) in a Frontier League game. Malibu is 4-5, 0-2.

Village Christian 101, Western Christian 67--Chad Hanson scored 30 points and made six three-pointers, leading the Crusaders (9-6, 2-0) to a school record for points. Dave Gustafson added 28 points for Village Christian.

Buena 70, Ventura 46--Ceneka Shaw scored 14 points, including six on dunks, for the Bulldogs in a Channel League game at Ventura College.

Ryan Howrey added 13 points for the Bulldogs (11-5, 5-1) and Charles Dixon scored 13 points for Ventura (4-10, 2-3).

Calabasas 82, Nordhoff 73--Noel Bloom had 23 points for Calabasas (5-10, 1-1) in a Frontier League game at Nordhoff.
