Football
Jason Leonard, Deandros Long and Abe Johnson, who helped Valley College to a 10-1 record last season, have accepted scholarships to four-year schools.
Leonard, a 6-foot-2, 198-pound wide receiver who had 34 receptions for 678 yards and six touchdowns, will attend Massachusetts.
Long, a 6-foot, 177-pound defensive back, will attend Texas El Paso, and Johnson a 6-2, 200-pound defensive back, will play for Langston (Okla.)
Softball
Janet Sherman, Cal State Northridge softball coach, will present a coaching clinic Jan. 28. Assistant Kelly Ford also will participate in the coaching clinic from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and in a player clinic from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Track and Field
The Amateur Athletic Foundation of Los Angeles has scheduled a four-part coaching clinic at Birmingham High.
The clinic, which runs Saturday and Sunday, and Jan. 28-29, is designed for high school coaches, but youth coaches are welcome.
Registration is at 8 a.m. Saturday and admission is free.
Miscellany
A hearing to set trial dates for former Cal State Northridge football player Jonathan Beauregard is scheduled for today at 8:30 a.m. in San Bernardino Municipal Court.
Beauregard, 22, faces two counts of attempted murder.
Dr. Stephen Rice of the University of Washington medical school will address an open meeting of the Royal High School Stadium Committee concerning the safety of Comfort Turf at 5:30 p.m. today in the Royal High library.
