Share

Scott Glasser went five for five, all singles, and scored three runs to lead Rancho Santiago to a 5-4, 10-inning victory over Orange Coast in Orange Empire Conference baseball Saturday at Pirate Field.

The Dons (14-3, 2-1), won after Brian LeFevers singled and stole second, Glasser was intentionally walked and Tony Zuniga singled to right to load the bases.

The Pirates (9-10, 1-2) went to lefty Mark Gardner to face left-handed Ryan Fullerton, but Gardner walked Fullerton on four pitches to drive in LeFevers.

Mondo Fonseca, Forest Long and Deric Yanagasawa each had three hits for Orange Coast, who had runners on first and second in the bottom of the 10th inning with two outs but did not score. It was one of several times the Pirates left runners in scoring position.

Because of poor field conditions from rain earlier in the week, the game was played at Orange Coast instead of Rancho Santiago.
