SEASON AT A GLANCE: Bucciarelli left no doubt that she was the City Section’s most dangerous forward, scoring 48 goals in 22 matches and leading Grant to the 4-A championship--its second consecutive title. A hustling, aggressive player who scored a majority of her goals while being double-teamed, Bucciarelli combined with center midfielder Jamie Mond and sweeper Marrica Pichaikul to give the Lancers a formidable trio. “She’s not big but she knows how to shield the ball,” said Grant Coach Wilber Quintanilla of Bucciarelli, who has signed a letter of intent with UC Irvine. “She’s one of the best around.”

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Bucciarelli scored the winning goal in Grant’s 2-1 semifinal victory over San Pedro. Four days later, she scored on a header in the 26th minute of the Lancers’ 1-0 victory over top-seeded Chatsworth in the final.
