Cerritos Valley Christian 4, Orange Lutheran 2--Cerritos Valley Christian (3-0 in league) scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie.

Che Holloway put Orange Lutheran (4-3, 2-1) ahead, 2-1. He drove in a run with a double and later scored on an error. Jim Munroe allowed three hits, struck out five and walked three in five innings for Orange Lutheran.

In nonleague gymnastics:

Brea Olinda 171, Long Beach Millikan 118.3--Tennli Ulicny won the uneven bars (9.2), balance beam (9.1) and all-around (36.0) for host Brea Olinda (4-1). Erica Castillo won the vault (8.8) and floor exercise (9.6) for the Wildcats.

In Orange League golf:

Brea Olinda 216, Western 237--Anthony Eliason and Emerson Oh each shot a four-over-par 40 for Brea Olinda (4-1, 1-0) at Imperial.

Savanna 227, Magnolia 259--Bryce Mulvey shot a three-over 35 for Savanna in the league opener at Dad Miller.

Newport Harbor 213, Irvine 231--Newport Harbor’s Morgan Anderson was the medalist for the second time this season, shooting a three-over-par 39, at Big Canyon.
