HUNTINGTON BEACH : Saturday Track Meet Open to Youths
Youngsters that want to compete in track and field are encourage to participate in the city-sponsored meet Saturday at Huntington Beach High School.
The Youth Track and Field Meet is open to children born in or after 1980. Young athletes may participate in two events plus a relay.
Running events include 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600 relays. Field events are the long jump, high jump, softball throw and shotput.
Registration is $3 per child and starts at 8:15 a.m. at the school, 1905 Main St. The first event will start at 9 a.m. There will be a $1 charge for spectators.
